– The work, duties and rights of the Committee shall be as follows
(a) Providing consultation to the Government of Nepal to formulate a national policy on plant quarantine (b) To review the fees charged during the import, export, inspection and testing of plants, plant products or other controlled items in accordance with this Act or the regulations made under this Act,
(c) Establish coordination between the private sector and government agencies involved in the import and export of plants, plant products or other controlled items in accordance with this Act or the regulations made under this Act,
(d) Prepare a list of regular enemies and modify it as needed,
(e) To keep a list with the names of experts related to plant quarantine existing in the country,
(f) approving standards relating to the healthiness of plants or plant produce to be imported or exported,
(g) Perform other tasks as specified.
